When do the standards come into effect?

Key dates are 1 March 2027 for ceiling insulation and 4-star showerheads, 1 July 2027 for draught proofing — all triggered by new leases. All rental homes must meet full energy efficiency standards by 1 July 2030 regardless of lease status.

Do the standards apply to all my properties or just new leases?

Most requirements are triggered by a new lease. Every time a tenancy changes over after the relevant date, that property must be compliant before the new tenant moves in.

How do the rebates work?

Rebates are applied directly to your quote — we handle the entire process, and you receive one final invoice upon completion. There is nothing for you or your landlords to submit or chase.
